Maura claims she was a child forced into music, giving “command” performances where she was dressed up in a party dress and paraded into the music room to sing at her fathers frequent parties in their home in Florida for his fellow Marine Corps Officers and their families. Being forced to perform didn’t sit to well with the head strong child that she was, and she vowed that when she could make the choice herself, she would never sing again! As fate would have it...at the age of 18, Maura was “discovered” singing in a local theater, and was recruited into a popular jazz band as the lead vocalist, thus propelling her into the status of professional musician. Who could’ve known! (maybe dad!) Maura then married drummer Vic Jones in defiance to her father’s wishes and, well... the rest is history!

In a career spanning over 2 decades, her wealth of natural talent, experiences and influences give her a vocal style defiant of categories and broad in artistic expression, and...by the way, she LOVES singing as a career (to her great surprise!) Maura brings her smooth and sultry vocals to audiences around the world as well as in the Las Vegas area.
